Title: CIROH’s Hub Poised to Power Research Community Engagement

Abstract: The Cooperative Institute for Research to Operations in Hydrology (CIROH) brings together CIROH Cyberinfrastructure, diverse institutions, tools, and datasets to advance water prediction capabilities. We present the CIROH Hub, a comprehensive web-based platform that serves as the primary gateway for accessing CIROH’s computational resources, collaborative tools, datasets, publications and research outputs. CIROH Hub serves to make the institute’s resources easily available to the broader community. The Hub organizes Tethys-based web applications, datasets, publications, presentations, and coursework into easily navigable pages, allowing users to take full advantage of these resources. Integration with HydroShare enables community members to contribute new applications, datasets, presentations, and courses, while publications are managed through an integration with Zotero. Additionally, the Hub features a dedicated platform for interactive Tethys-based applications deployed on a Kubernetes cluster within AWS infrastructure. This cloud-based deployment provides robust, scalable hosting, ensuring these applications are reliably accessible to all users. CIROH Hub combines software documentation and information about computing resources, serving as an all-in-one informational hub for advancing and utilizing research. It automatically mirrors documentation from open-source GitHub repositories, providing in-depth information on individual hydrological tools, while also offering a central listing for computing resources (R2OHC) that offers seamless access to Cloud and HPC environments. These core offerings are supplemented by a policies tab detailing CIROH’s governance documents. The Hub also provides Community News and Blog updates regularly.
Together, by placing CIROH’s research outputs into the hands of the community, CIROH Hub streamlines the path from hydrologic research to application and operational implementation.
