We present HydroSuite, a collection of web-based open-source software libraries (https://github.com/uihilab/HydroSuite) created to streamline hydrologic analysis workflows by leveraging cutting-edge web technologies. This comprehensive framework enables users to access analytical tools directly through their web browser, making it easier to democratize hydrologic data analysis within the community. Our suite of tools covers key aspects of hydrological analysis workflow, such as data management, scientific computing, communication platforms, and community portals. By offering end-to-end libraries that simplify data integration and enhance usability, the HydroSuite eliminates the need for complex local setup and installations, utilizing efficient task allocations through server and client-side technologies. Through this framework, users can expect a more efficient and user-friendly approach to hydrologic analysis. This accessible platform aims to broaden the impact within the hydrologic community by facilitating collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation. By providing a seamless and intuitive way for users to access and utilize hydrologic tools, the HydroSuite is aiming to take a step forward towards the way hydrologic research, education, and operational activities are conducted.
Learning Outcomes:
- Showcase the entire end-to-end hydrologic workflows through the implemented libraries.
- Showcase the potential and capabilities of hydrologic analysis on the web.
- Promote further collaboration and knowledge sharing within CIROH community.
Prerequisites:
Knowledge:
- Minimum programming knowledge
Software:
- Examples and case studies will be through a web-based sandbox environment with no setup or installation requirements. All data required for the training will be available within the environment. The repositories for the libraries used will be provided during the workshop.
