Title:  HydroLearn: 2026 Hackathon and Community Engagement

Presentation Type: Lightning Talk

Abstract: HydroLearn is meeting CIROH’s education, training, and outreach needs by creating high-quality, accessible learning modules focused on the NextGen modeling framework. The most recent HydroLearn project leverages partnerships with CIROH research leads to pre-scope module topics that align closely with the CIROH research themes and funded projects. An in-person HydroLearn workshop will begin at the 2026 Developers Conference and will be followed by an 8-day virtual hackathon, where fellows (comprised of faculty, postdocs, and graduate students) work in pairs to complete their assigned module. In this lightning talk, we will introduce the new modules being developed and share our plans to further engage with the CIROH community in the coming year.
