Title: Introducing Tethys Dash: Low-Code/No-Code Interactive Dashboards for Water Resources Management
Presentation Type: Lightning Talk
Abstract: Tethys Dash is a new tool built on the open-source Tethys Platform to simplify web app development, specifically for visualizing water resources data. While the Tethys Platform already streamlines app creation for users with some coding skills, Tethys Dash introduces a low-code/no-code, drag-and-drop interface that lowers the barrier further. It empowers researchers, engineers, and decision-makers to create interactive dashboards without needing advanced web development expertise. Leveraging Python, Django, and geospatial libraries, Tethys Dash supports a plugin-based architecture for adding visualization components such as maps, tables, and Plotly charts. It also allows seamless integration of multiple data sources, enabling rapid development of applications in the water resources domain. With its modular design and support for custom plugins, Tethys Dash enhances flexibility and scalability. By making complex data more accessible, it facilitates more informed decision-making in addressing environmental challenges in the water resources sector.
