This project is to adapt HydroLearn modules to serve the training needs of the hydrologic sciences community of practice. This will enhance CIROH’s educational and workforce development mission through HydroLearn and its pedagogical model. Our team will develop high-quality technical content using best practices in content design, making it accessible and adaptable across CIROH institutions. Our main objectives are to engage the CIROH community in HydroLearn content development and develop a long-term sustainability plan for HydroLearn with CUAHSI. With the funding awarded through our 2023 proposal, we held a summer (2024) workshop and hackathon that produced new online learning modules on topics relevant to CIROH’s themes. This 2024 proposal supports the adaptation of content from these modules to meet the learning needs of professionals and consultants. A virtual workshop in January 2025 was held for faculty, students and postdocs engaged in CIROH-funded projects to adapt content into modules that address the learning needs of professionals and consultants.
The CIROH HydroLearn modules are available at https://edx.hydrolearn.org/courses by searching for “ciroh”.
